MAGNIFICENT TB MULTI-CHAMPION!!

SoCal's Obsidian Marquis

Diana Timmerman raved over him at AlpacaMania... And the Australian judge, Peter Kennedy (he knows his black suris!) loved him at the California Classic. And 2 international judges dithered over him in TOUGH competition in Commercial Halter at the International Alpaca Odyssey in 2013! (see below for the 2014 results...!) Our Obsidian Marquis is just a magnificent specimen (and he knows it...)
Obsidian has grown into a well-proportioned male with strong bone and a perfect head. His lustrous fleece has lovely locking with "beading" on the neck. Heads turn when he passes by---and why not? Look at his genetics: his dam, (a MAPACA Champion) GLR Chask'a is the Medium Silver GREY daughter of Platinum Marquis; and his dark brown sire Captain Blackfoot took a Grand Championship at the International Alpaca Odyssey in 2004, AND he's known for passing on black and luster to his progeny. So, what will it be from Obsidian--black or GREY progeny??
THIS JUST IN---Obsidian was awarded the Color Championship at the SouthWest Regional Alpaca Show by none other than Amanda VandenBosch! She loved his solid, balanced frame and eye-catching, very black lustrous fleece with locking to the skin. He truly is "the whole package!"

EVEN BETTER--Obsidian took COLOR CHAMPION in COMMERCIAL HALTER at the International Alpaca Odyssey 2014!

Obsidian Marquis has moved to his new digs at Alpacas of Marin, north of San Francisco. He is the sweetest guy--we just love him, and he knows it!
