COLOR CHAMPION!!
Stormcat is VERY black (3 of his 4 grandparents are black!)--it's late summer, and his fleece is Blue-Black--it actually looks like black velvet! He has a long long staple, a very bright fleece with pleasing medium crimp and organized structure. Very big bone on a correct, compact frame, with a level topline and fleece all the way THRU his toes. He has a teddy bear head that is so appealing on huacayas, with a good bite, and a pleasing personality that is worth breeding ... |

Cocopuff is the product of the acclaimed Studmaster/Ideal Alpaca Community breeding program affiliated with North West Alpacas. It's fascinating to see how her grand-dam was "improved" in her breeding to Studmaster El Toro. Then, Cocopuff's dam was improved with her breeding to the outstanding MFI Peruvian Gallant Deed, one of the top Studmaster herdsires. Cocopuff is the result, and she is a solid, true black gal with a heavy blanket. She has bred readily and had trouble-free births o... |

Our Coquimbo (ko-KEEM-bo) is the very black son of our true black Champion herdsire-- Dundee's AJ Stormcat, and our true black female--Gallant Deed's Cocopuff. 3 of his 4 grandparents are true black, so black genetics run deep in this male. He has shown in his first show, and took a first place ribbon in competition at just 6 months of age. The judge was impressed by his sturdy, square conformation and bright, BRIGHT black fleece. Coquimbo has a nice, medium crimp with good consistency and coverage. He has his sire's perfect head, eye-catching sturdy conformation, and fineness of fleece.
Coquimbo has a presence in the show ring that suggests that he "has what it takes"! Now, at the beginning of his show career, he is available at an affordable price--so have fun showing him and start your black breeding program now!
He would make an excellent herdsire for a small fiber farm, or just take him as a fiber male!
Coquimbo agists with Jan and Dale Davis at Derwydd Alpacas in North-central California.
Coquimbo is SOLD to Donna Moe of Bakersfield, CA. Congratulations, Donna--he's the perfect man for your rose-grey girls and should do well for your Blue-Eyed White!
